I think it is safe to say that no judge can be equipped to preside over any kind of case that comes into their court. It would seem that in Judge Koh's case these technical and very thinly sliced tech cases either bore her, irritate her, or are beyond her ability to comprehend at a level that is fair to both the plaintiff and the defendant. Couple this with some of her past work history, and it seems that she would have been better advised to pass on this assignment instead of seemingly faking her way through it. I don't pretend to know how cases are assigned or how judges are reviewed, but the concept of being above reproach seems to be an overarching tenet in the field of law, and that tenet does not seem to have been respected in a lot of what has gone on with VPLM.

Without a doubt she is a well educated lady and has incredible bona fides and qualifications as a judge, but her choices, comments, behaviors, and past associations as they pertain to this case are clearly dubious irrespective of any other achievements she has enjoyed. That is the thing about "character" you need to wear it and protect it every day of your life and one bad choice can destroy a whole lifetime of achievements.

So, sadly, her reversal rate might be completely irrelevant if it is shown that she exercised bias in just one case.
