Koog, this certainly wasn't on topic on that board, but I think discussing it on this board is within bounds. And since I can forget a phone number in three feet, I wanted to address your point before It floats away from me.
Your comment and sentiment I put in red I think is what is creating much confusion IMO on the subject of a pandemic which is a social medical crisis and convoluting a pandemic and what it takes to keep yourself and society safe and productive with the arguably non connected political and non constitutional 'rights' things. Your 'quote' is about the liberty to choose a living, religion and political party and freedom to do so with little to no interference with a governing body. Your rights have nothing to do with a highly contagious communicable disease which can kill anyone of any age, doesn't even matter if it's 3% of the kids because with society it is exponential in infections.
Your 'rights' are fine if you live on a island or in the woods and don't see another human being for months. However, that's not how society works. If you live in any space that has people who also go outside to stores, gas.. whatever, you don't have the right to inflict your 'beliefs of your rights' on people who just happen to stand next to you, or are caught in one of your coughs or sneezes and maybe 60 years old with diabetes and the next week dies of covid because you have covid but no symptoms, but continue to walk around, handling things, coughing all without the minimum protection of a simple mask or distancing, because somehow wearing a mask or getting a vaccine is against your rights?. No one is asking you or magas to live for the sake of another person, but to think about saving the life of another person by being protective of themselves and not passing on a deadly virus. And yes it's deadly, 700K people in the US alone proves that without the slightest doubt.
A world pandemic isn't about individuals rights, but about everyones lives. Innocent lives trumps <--sorry, a made up constitutional 'right' to not wear a medical protective mask and covid loaded patriots don't have the right to spread diseases to innocent people. Maybe the gov should make it a felony to infect people with covid like it is with HIV when one knows they are infected. And if one didn't know they were infected with covid but still insisted on not getting vaccinated and wearing a mask in dense public places, then it should at least be a misdemeanor with a substantial fine. Perhaps people may think twice about their own rights.
