Imagine buying $100 dollars of 20 different stocks at 0.0001....

Even if you lose all your money on 19 of them = $1900 dollar loss.

But 1 of those stocks runs to a penny (seen it happen many times) = $10,000

You've made about an $8000 profit (after costs).

Not bad as a side hustle to the regular scalping, day trading and swing trading profits I make.

I don't recommend it for everyone, but it works for me.
