Hey, let's not leave out "The Flora Family Foundation" from our DD. They also fund Factcheck.org.

So, who funds FFF?:

International Grantmaking

FFF has long been distinctive for its international orientation. In recent years, 60 percent of the foundation’s grants budget on average has been directed to settings overseas or for work worldwide. The percentage of international grants in 2020 was 44 percent. This compares to 30 percent for all foundations, a figure that is inflated by the large percentage of international funding coming out of the Gates Foundation. Since the early 2000s, when Gates began operations, international grantmaking by foundations has increased from about 14 to 30 percent. However, it bears noting that a study by the Foundation Center and Council on Foundations found that 88 percent of all dollars granted for international work between 2011 and 2015 went to organizations based outside the country in which the work was implemented. By contrast, FFF favors locally-rooted, indigenous grantees.

Prior to fiscal 2010, we were supported entirely by three sources: funds from the APPC’s own resources (specifically an endowment created in 1993 by the Annenberg Foundation at the direction of the late Walter Annenberg, and a 1995 grant by the Annenberg Foundation to fund APPC’s Washington, D.C., base); additional funds from the Annenberg Foundation; and grants from the Flora Family Foundation.
