Say you were a company that owned 4 patents that are all related to a similar technology. You believe another company is infringing upon all 4 patents. The other company gets 3 of your 4 patents invalidated. Do you deserve compensation for the 4th patent infringements? Hint: Yes

Alternatively, what if it turns out that, while you believe they were infringing 4 of your patents, they were only infringing one of them? Do you still deserve compensation? Hint: Yes
