zab-- Best wishes for your recovery--both with your house and physically.
When Trump won in 2016-- I was immediately concerned with how he would govern and was sadly disappointed with his "less than Presidential" behavior and mercurial disposition.
But what the Democrats' policies was not what I wanted.
I cannot emphasize enough that the Dem's handling of the border is why I did not vote Democrat in 2016 nor 2020. Same thing with shutting down the Keystone Pipeline and giving up energy independence (you are mistaken--the US was NOT totally independent on imports under the Dems before or after Trump).
Infrastructure needs to be addressed--but not this WISH list from the Left--
Intellectual honesty would dictate that you vote for a "hard infrastructure" bill to pass in a non-partisan manner with broadband, bridges, roads, airports, ports, rapid transit (cost effective projects, not like that ridiculous California bullet train).
The blatant attempt to call free child care (Pre-K) "infrastructure" is NOT the way to get the "progress" you desire. It is because the Dems KNOW they are in trouble in the Midterms and they may not get another chance to cram down all these expensive, social engineering initiatives in future Congresses.
