I live in Arizona. There is no cell signal at my home. No 3G, no 4G, no 5G no G of any kind. And a weak signal is 5 miles away.

There is no cable. There is no DSL, only old fashioned twisted pair land lines that are in horrible disrepair. The last time we lost land line service it took Century Link over a month to restore service.

Our only options for internet are dial-up modem (remember that?) and satellite. Our only option for television is satellite.

It has always been this way (well, since the advent of satellite communications ... before that we had dial-up modem internet and 2 broadcast television stations picked up on an antenna).

Recent data. Today. And it is very expensive.
