I would believe that they were trying to "protect" investors if they had blocked the stock from trading for everyone at the same time but the fact that there is clearly a lot of buying and likely most of it foreign accounts, or 'unregulated exchanges" (for lack of a better way to put it) doesn't seem to be protecting anyone but the people who can buy up all the cheap shares to do another re-run. It's not protecting investors when you give foreign investors and MM an advantage to buy these stocks up while they intentionally block US investors from buying "risky" stocks on a US exchange. That's pure bullshit. Manipulation at it's worst.
