To one side, people believe the earth is round and the moon orbits the earth, because of our belief in our science. To the other side they believe the earth is flat and the moon is just a balloon, because of their belief in their science. We call them idiots, they call us idiots.

One side say the vaccines save lives because the numbers don't lie. The other side says the vaccines don't work because their numbers don't lie.

When both sides believe they have the correct facts, how does one manage the divide.

When the argument is about seat belts or what thermostat you use in your home with no impact beyond yourself, it doesn't matter if the sides never agree and the outcome is meaningless to anyone else.

But when the subject is about a pandemic virus outbreak that is killing millions of people in a short time and everything they do reflects on and impacts every other human being one no longer has the luxury of anonymity and blissful ignorance of complacency with responsibility.

To believe a vaccine doesn't work and refuse it, to knowingly not mask up or move close to people in public places is not only selfish, ignorant and possibly dangerous to all around them, makes them a secret acsessory to possible murder of people they didn't know and will never meet.

There really isn't an I, me and myself only when there's a active pandemic devastating the planet.
