Repost: Garden Rose, First it's Australia's many fewer covid death per capita you condemn. Then
it's Australia's many fewer deaths per capita by guns you have a shot at. Pun intended.

Why do you think the NRA went from being in favor of gun control to taking the dangerously irresponsible position on guns which you take now. Money money money. See below.

As for present day gun laws it's money money makes the world go round on that today too. Isn't it. Your gun song, hey let's corrupt the constitution again!!

Remember 2013? Did the Wild West Have More Gun Control Than We Do Today?

"Fearing violence and political uncertainty, Americans are buying millions more firearms"

.. a Quackenbush head with two eyes .. lol .. hey ..
whatever happened to leave the guns at the sheriff's office?

After a decision by the Supreme Court affirming the right of individuals to own guns, then-Chicago Mayor Richard Daley sarcastically said .. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2008-06-27/news/0806270074_1_2nd-amendment-gun-control-activists-narrow-ruling , "Then why don't we do away with the court system and go back to the Old West, you have a gun and I have a gun and we'll settle it in the streets?" This is a common refrain heard in the gun debate. Gun control advocates fear -- and gun rights proponents sometimes hope -- the Second Amendment will transform our cities into modern-day versions of Dodge.

Yet this is all based on a widely shared misunderstanding of the Wild West. Frontier towns -- places like Tombstone, Deadwood, and Dodge -- actually had the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation.

[ as some of the unruly places today ]

In fact, many of those same cities have far less burdensome gun control today then they did back in the 1800s.

You, Garden Rose, also get your constitution wrong. Just as those far- right-wingers who took over the NRA in 1977 did. Just as people as you and the NRA still do.

Some reading for any who have missed such, and who wonder about your misleading information.

The NRA supported gun control laws until 1977. What good safety reason do you think changed
their mind? Not one. Some reading for you. The first one is key if you haven't seen one like it yet.

Important history. NRA 1977 shift from century of focus on gun safety to aggressive right-
wing approach, utilizing fraudulent claims re 2nd Amdt, on profit making for gun industry.
