Long time lurker here, first time poster. Surfkast, I believe you are correct, this Wade character is too shady to not be involved in some capacity. Another scenario I’m wondering about is whether Synergy is in on the gig but Mark was clueless. It’s tough to believe as the communication has been so terrible. You’d think a CEO who gave a shit about his reputation would try to initiate some semblance of damage control.

This Benjamin Berry fellow, you’d expect he would have flagged these concerns in advance too. Whole thing stinks. What about the promissory note? Did this come with Synergy’s “clean” shell? Did Ben inherit toxic debt? Have people looked at the history of these scam artists? Looks like Kramer could be involved.
