Found an estimated sales of about 800 million annually for cubicin (daptomycin) for 2020. I also believe it went generic during the last few years.
IPIX did not have the estimated 30 million for a Ph3 and the maybe 10 million for for sales, advertising, administration, product development, transportation, storage, etc. But that's just my estimate.
From the IPIX site: Innovation Pharmaceuticals has successfully completed a Phase 2b trial of Brilacidin for Acute Bacterial Skin and Skin Structure Infection (ABSSSI). Delivered in a single intravenous dose, it performed comparably to a seven-day dose of Daptomycin (see ECCMID 2015 presentation: audio; slide deck, pdf), which generated over $1 billion in sales for both 2015 and 2016.
When IPIX has the money for the Ph3, as I hope it eventually has, the product should do well. But you know all this, why be so down on the potential?
