Beer$ Thanks for your information! It is possible to use your information as the basis for further reasoning. First a very simple approach: Even if the quantity of water varies enourmously there will be an average which could be used as a point of departure. This approach could be refined. For am amateur it would seem meaningful to assume that the greater the amount of water used the higher the cost and the more competitive the technology PCT represents will be. If this is the case one might for instance compare the financial savings by using the PCT technology for the 10% of wells requiring most water and the 10% using least water to see how that works out financially. Then one might get a better handle on how valuable the PCT technology is from a financial point of view. I realize of course that the PCT technology has other great advantages related to environmental impact.
