The Nicosia Heavy Penal Court rejected the request of Erhun Cennetoglu, who accepted that he had imported and disposed of 35 grams of synthetic drugs two years ago and wanted to benefit from the Probation Law, by a majority of votes, and sentenced him to 9 months in prison.

Erhun Satanoglu imported 35 grams of synthetic cannabionid type narcotic substance via cargo by paying 125 pounds in Southern Cyprus on November 12, 2015, and was caught by a search at his house after importing it to the north.

Prosecutor Doga Tokay and the defendant's lawyers Altan Erdag and Süleyman Dolmaci were present on behalf of the TRNC Chief Prosecutor's Office in the case that was discussed in the presence of Nicosia Heavy Penal Court President Ömer Güran, Judge Gökan Asafogullari and Judge Meltem Dündar .
