IMO There will be no buyout as long as there are grants from the gov. to bring the covid drug and or cancer drug to market. Why would they sell this? It's a gold mine for them and us. Besides does big pharma really want either of these cures on the market? NO! They will bury both if they get their hands on them. So I doubt SBFM will sell their rights to either cure. But saying all of that I absolutely could be wrong.
