BBOTCS, If I was looking to buy a stock for your spending theory thesis. It is not incredibly Cheap (But not and absurd pe either), but PVH for example if It pullsback a bit more isn't outrageous (Allready down from $121). Analyst estimates are for $6.74 this year and $8.44 next year. So essentially 15 times this year and 12 times next years estimates. And they are a leadership name in apparrel, look at the brands they own. I'm not rushing to buy it here, but a case could be made for $125-130 stock in the coming 6-12 month if they look they are gonna hit next years estimates, and that is just 15 times next years estimates, so not exactly pricing it for perfection either. So if you can get this one under $100 and americans go crazy spending money like you think they will, this is a stock that I'm not saying is a overwhelming bargain, but not nosebleed valuation either, and has pulled back a bit, with decent brands. For what it is worth I own no Position in this stock, and at current prices will probably not be a buyer. But if I believed your case, this is and idea for you. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
