Someone reached out earlier and erroneously asked.......

about the Pulaski treasure hunt that has gone on for years. Just in case anyone else has some bad information I will clear up the myth.

Year one was 2018 that ended when a hurricane devastated the Wilmington area. We knew we did not have a main section of the wreck and likely only had what spilled out when the explosion took place and the ship broke in two pieces.

2019 was the year they did surveys and located several more wrecks. That took much of the season. But one the last 2 days of the season they did a recon dive on the SB North Carolina and found 3 coins on the first day.

Last year was a very active hurricane season, but they located and dove on the Merida. They did a few dives on the Pulaski and decided the original dive area was picked clean.

June 7th they left the dock around 5 pm and spent about 8 days (not consecutively) doing a side scan sonar survey and located several other sections of the wreck. A month after the survey began they are saying they are busy recovering per today’s update. My hunch they are on the ass end (stern section) and finding lots of bacon.

Mmmm bacon.

Survey for 2 weeks and 2 weeks later get busy recovering.

Dat’s how we roll!!!
