I bought one of the first cars off of the Lordstown Assembly Line in 1971, a Chevrolet Vega. I won't go into my personal history with the car, but suffice it to say it was the reason I have not bought any General Motors product in fifty years. (Ditto for the Ford Fiesta).

Yet, because of my roots to Cleveland and Youngstown and having worked in the steel industry in its hey day in the sixties in Youngstown and Warren, I am rooting for this electric car plant to be successful.

For the first time, I invested in RIDE last Friday.

I believe it will keep the promise and deliver good trucks.

I also believe we should not be dependent upon Elon Musk for trucks made in China. Lordstown is well situated to serve our domestic market.

Cleveland Cliffs will be supplying them a lot of good steel.

And the stunning truth of the matter is that this generation, save the military, doesn’t value freedom. Instead, it values comfort. It values convenience and coddling, and conformity.
