I remember Pierre well. And the bitching that went on about his decision to force feed some more bilingualism on the population. French Canadians were pissed at not being able to travel without learning English. English were pissed at Trudeau acknowledging the constitution said, 'Yep, Canada is supposed to be a bilingual country.' French on all labels, Pierre said. Oh no, the country will be bankrupt, conservatives shrieked. lol I remember thinking damn, wish it had happened years ago, i wouldn't have forgotten most all of the French i learned in those four school years.

The Quebecois sp? actually kidnapped a Federal minister. De Gaulle came to Canada and offered support to the separation movement. lol Hot times!
