could be. but who is 'they'? the company? the mm's? who knows about a buyout? so the company is telling the mm's to keep it down? that would be illegal.

if there is a buyout in motion, it would have to be the BUYER trying to influence the stock downwards - thru shorting. i am sure it happens.

a ConocoPhillips type buyer has the power to do it, but it would probably be illegal and easily traced to them prior to buyout and they would be busted, and 88energy would be furious.

bottom line, 88Energy needs to speak to this ridiculous price manipulation.
i realize many are happy getting cheap shares. but prior to a buyout, there can not be this kind of market 'interference' --- but in this EVIL age, who cares about breaking the law? most of the times the laws are not even enforced.

but this is very unusual, this price action.
