Trump had a border fiasco as well. Comprehensive immigration reform would help. Trump and Pence were non-performing on the border, the virus and the economy.

Crime wave is happening in non democratic areas as well.

Look at the dark red on the map. Gonna parachute a GOP mayor into all of the Dem mayor cities? Then what? As long as guns flow from lax regulation states to cities there will be too many guns on the street. GOP governance at the Federal level, lack of, is a big part of the problem.

If the gun deaths in Chicago can't turn the state of IL as gun death rate dark red as MO, AL, MS and LA WTF is going on in those states?
