My Broker in Germany told that it's related to BBH (probably Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.). I never got a response from BBH when I have asked them for further information regarding detailed costs and so on. However it was legal from the Broker to request PREM with asking DTC and other related parties. I'm lucky that I got my U-Escrows back with latest Mr.Cooper Shares distribution, but my K-Escrows are still PREM'ed since 2018. Just hope that further distributions for prefs will be done before year 2024, otherwise it might be difficult to have a proof without Escrows in account and deleted records at DTC. Still long time to wait till year 2024. But you never know what is the plan from the "big boys". Don't know how many other have been forced to agree to PREM their Escrow positions.
Still have enough P- and U-Escrows in place, but my K-Escrows have been taken and I just hope to get them back right in time before the data at DTC might be deleted.
