Par value cannot increase. It's written into the company charter. They can sell above par and below par but par does not change even after a split. They 'claimed' they were looking for investors who wanted to buy 20m blocks. Also Authorized shares are not affected by a R/S as those shares remain unsold. It's up to the company whether they want to reduce the A/S after an R/S. Only O/S is affected. Lastly R/S makes sense if they want to sell those 'supposed' above par shares to investors looking to buy 20m blocks. IMO R/S is coming here. What he's saying makes perfect sense.
The par value would increase proportionately to the reverse so it wouldn’t remain at .01 - so your theory based on that assumption doesn’t hold. If it’s a 1 for 2 reverse then the par value would increase to .02
