I disagree. Insiders are selling because they know that the shares in their own company are vastly overvalued. And, as it states in the article the surprising aspect of this is why outside shareholders do not also realize they should be selling now too. Of course, the directors and officers also have knowledge of outstanding shares and related issues, and they know full well that there is no longer any short situation or looming short squeeze out there with GME, contrary to the fiction being spread out there by reddit, WSB, Superstonk, etc.
