i dont trade for a living...but i do trade to make money...

i bought shares a little over 2 weeks ago and sold the other day...ive swing traded that way for a long time...and it really should not pose a huge time constraint on anyone who wants to be in the market...i mean, if one wants to make money, they are generally going to have to put forth SOME kind of effort...

"They are actually buying the stock and holding."

then they likely arent doing well with this stock...there are far better stocks to buy and hold...like the ones that are going higher instead of dropping...just a thought...

you can be altruistic or you can make money...trying to do both at the same time constrains you and makes investing just that much harder...

best to make your money and then be as altruistic as you want...

and yes...that is indeed an old strategy...but it can work...it just isnt usually a good idea in companies that cant seem to get out of their own way...that are still struggling...even after decades of being in business...

and when they are dependent upon the kindness of governments for money that can be turned off at the first downturn of the economy...
