Mermelstein: In case U haven't noticed, the value of the U.S. dollar has been sinking for probably 20 years. So, let me ask U this. What happens when there is out-of-control inflation during a big recession. People are out of work and cannot afford to eat AND pay their rent or mortgage.

1929 happened.

I am seriously considering getting property in West Virginia, because the U.S. cities will be hell-on-earth.
