You need a catalyst in order to own 3x leveraged shorts, or really anything leveraged. Because all the market has to do is stay flat and you’ll get killed with decay. And then by the time the market finally does correct, you might be back to break even.

I don’t think the thesis “some stuff is over priced” is a sufficient catalyst to go short at the present time.
