I see. It's probably me that seems to get the impression he invented the foam itself, which is much more impressive. I've never read that early part where he tears up existing foam and reuses it. Is that technically inventing? I can cut up tires and mount the pieces to my aluminum boat for dock bumpers. Is that inventing? Or an amendment to an invention?
