300,000 years, photons appeared Era of Recombination, "moment of first light", I don't know what they mean by that, "time when the photons could rest finally" What? but there was the photon epoch way earlier, from one to 10 seconds after the Big Bang. i will have to ask my friend Gary, we live 10 miles apart, just get on the phone, he knows all of this stuff cold. No pun intended. He has string theory (quantum gravity), gen. rel., particles, QCD, quarks and all that down cold. On top of that, he is The Dude with both pure and applied mathematics, he actually _knows_ what the Hodge star operator does. I merely translated a couple of papers on it. Etc. Etc.
