Since 'civil rights' crashed the vernacular in a big way 60 years ago this statement has been accurate, becoming more so in recent years.

"you assholes (Republicans) own the KKK"

That is a true statement and I won't argue that point.

LBJ knew he was cutting his own throat regarding the civil rights act when he said he'd lose the south for a generation.

Look at the states JFK won in 1960.
