I did read somewhere, I don't remember nor have a link to substantiate what I read but I think one or two republiqan governors were thinking of making people pay back what they got since late march. And in those red states companies are saying that people aren't coming back because the pua was too generous, which is bullshit because when the people are asked, they are out looking for jobs because their company closed it's doors late in 2020. And these very same companies that are making those statements are not bringing people back while, surprise, they're pocketing the new corp assistance that Biden got passed. Far too many large corps made obscene profits during the pandemic and I don't mean oil.
