Just my thoughts Pennyes, but it's all part of investing in miners. They are constantly fighting government regulation, the weather, and at this time Covid. It doesn't effect the mine's productivity in the long term and they are taking precautions for the safety of their workers, that I would expect them to take.
The market doesn't reward prudent operational moves that ensure worker safety. However, I would ask those individuals a question: would you rather read a headline stating several mine workers killed in gold mine? Brazil is having mudslides that have killed several, and they are making the right move.
It was untimely because it appeared the stock was ready to move upwards in a big way. In time, I believe it will reward patience. Unfortunately, we don't live in times of patience and many sold today.
