To American libertarian Rand Paul FREEDOM far outweighs any consideration of a social contract which he might have considered he once had.

That selfish distorted meaning they attribute to the 'freedom' word combined with their extreme and hypocritical professed disdain for anything tinged with government eliminates any need to consider seriously what social obligations people as Rand Paul may have.
