The opposite, imo. As demand for gasoline goes down, there won't be as many oil wells. Fracking will be a thing of the past.

When the Democrats are in power, there will be a hefty Federal tax on gasoline, and a yearly vehicle emission test will be required. In other words, if U still drive a vehicle with an internal combustion engine, you will be sc***ed.

I agree 100 percent--hybrids are the way to go. But the Greenies won't hear of it. The Green crowd are lacking in common sense. Correction: They have no common sense.

One more thing. The mantra of the left--"We are a nation of immigrants".
After we have another 100M people, no worries. Wind mills and solar panels will product the energy we need. So, lets open the borders and increase energy demand. As long as the illegals provide what amounts to slave labor, no problem.
