It won't always be a hassle. Just like early cars had to be started by hand. And yes, it's more complicated than just "electricity is cheaper than gas". Yes, electric IS cheaper than gas and when you throw in maintenance, EVs beat ICE hands down every time. . .there are other, bigger factors to consider like how the growing demand on the grid may increase electricity prices.

Like I said before, solar and home LiFePO4 batteries will partially offset that problem. It's literally getting so easy, you can spend 30 minutes on YouTube and order the stuff and do it yourself.

The change is coming, you can either get ahead of it or watch it from behind.
