VTSI is a break your heart stock. Always has been

It amazes me in this policing environment that the best Bob Farris can do is 4-6 million in a quarter. In fairness they booked about 6 million in the quarter so bookings were decent and had they filled orders as fast as they came in it would have been a nice number.

This is basically a more tragic version of CODA. Amazing technology with a management team that doesn't know how to take advantage of it. It's like giving a chimp a backhoe and asking him to dig a ditch. Nice tool, but chimps don't know how to use one.

I once thought this company could be huge. Now I see it as a trading vehicle. I'm betting at some point they announce a big contract, and the stock goes way up from here or they announce another .15 or .20 quarter and it gets a big pop. Even with that they will grow their revenue 5% a year like they are a mature telco rather than a technology company with a solution for police shooting deaths, and then chest beat about the results.

Definitely fairly valued, but I think it makes money from here sometime in the next year if you are patient.
