I understand your cynicism,,,I still think there are rare occasions, however few......

I don't think the right things done on the chambers floor are rare at all.
Most or all the positive things done are done almost mundanely every day.
They are just done-passed without fanfare probably without being able for one person to actually take credit or use it as a election bragging point but an item that just needed to action.

The shit politicians seem to try to get their name on high profile bills to further their careers, and not for the reasons of the bill itself.

But 10's of bills can pass every day and we the citizens don't know about them. Many do good things. Routine things, like road allocations and continued grants to states for bus maintenance. All sorts of boring stuff.

The performing politicians are the ones that place themselves in the public eye and run for higher positions and commissions. Not the rank and file.

I'm sure all levels of the chambers have aspirations to move up, but the ones that were planted by the leading republiqans yertle and munchkin in the year lead up to 2020 are not leaders. They are nazis.
