My old man was a lifetime PHD geologist and electrical engineer for Exxon, ESSO, ENCO, and ARAMCO, also an instructor at University of Houston and Berkley. Here's some of his thoughts I gleened from one much smarter than me before he died. Petroleum is a natural resource, made in the earth by the earth. It's been spewing and bubbling around in various forms since the sun first rose over the horizon. If the earths climate weren't warming then it must be cooling? Nothing on this planet is stagnant, everything is dynamic and changing. with or without our input. Sooner or later a new and more effecient fuel will come along. THe best minds in the world are working on it daily, not the politicians.
