ABBV acquires SOLY for $22.60 cash—a 26% premium to Friday’s closing price:

SOLY has a device that uses ultrasound for short-term improvement in the appearance of cellulite and to facilitate tattoo removal (in conjunction with laser treatment).

The nominal deal value is $550M.

Allergan overpaid hugely for Zeltiq’s CoolSculpting in 2017 (#msg-128649430, #msg-153884422), but today’s deal for SOLY is much less costly.
