If you saw no amps in your original link before submitting it, then somewhere else is introducing that along the way.
I've seen amp in non fb as well, but the final designation has almost always been some sort of paywall, or restricted access. No clue if that would be related.
I've also read where the amp is just a string along to facilitate the handshaking down the road.

Just thought of something I'm going to check on as well.
