NTS: regarding that AMC article
1) Some things I agree with - some I do not. I do wish the shares were not taken off the table. AMC did need those. I agree with the fact there is a high possibility that AMC will have to rethink the issuance of shares again and that shareholders WILL see a vote for another offering in 2022.
However if the stock squeezed and AMC took advantage of that - they could push off the need for more shares until a much later date or indefinitely, depending.
On the other side of the coin - That means AMC would be selling into any squeeze and many others better be as well.
2) I think surprise is the best food for a squeeze because it comes out of the blue and no HF has time to prep and plan and instead is forced to react to what ever demand is tossed their way. Its possible that HF's are no longer threatened by the APES and have reacted behind the scenes accordingly. I would. Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Of course - this remains to be seen and I would never bet against the power of the masses. I hope they do it.
3) I disagree with the premise of BK. AMC wont file for BK. I think That moment has passed. Unless something drastic happens that causes a new shut down. So that shouldn't even be in the article. But everyone has the right to their opinion. I just 100% disagree with it.
4) I have a problem with the recent filing. I have yet to see a company put a number in print, regardless of the wording, that hasn't come to fruition, even if its quick. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I just haven't seen it in stocks I have owned or payed attention too. So that is worthy of tracking for me.
AMC's prospectus for the 43 million shares listed an 'at market' price based on a date. That number was lower than the PPS AMC was trading at. Why is that important? It is always important. Trading Psychology is a real thing. The mind hates to see a number lower than where a pps is currently trading at, even explained in the way they explained the number. Doesn't matter.
It gives you a target to look at. Why would you want to pay more than someone else will be paying when there is a number written in front of you. That stands true on any offering that gives a number. I am tracking that number to see if it even stands true to a number AMC tossed out there and explained it as a price "Estimated solely for the purpose of calculating the registration fee"
A number, is a number, is a number. So - Still tracking that. Still curious if that will happen.
