Eventually they'd have to get the currency under control, but it would likely be after a period of significant inflation. We're not at "significant" inflation yet, but I believe it's coming...probably in another 2-3 years. But I will say it could move very quickly. If people start to realize their dollars tomorrow will be worth less than today, that's what is going to create the "velocity" of money where people go and and start purchasing things...that then starts the vicious cycle of inflation. The simplest way to trade-in a large number of dollars quickly is to buy stocks. I've mentioned before that the best performing stock markets in world history have been Zimbabwe and Venezuela.
So sitting in cash right now is akin to owning a stock that is perpetually diluting its shares. You don't want to own it.
