Not true.If my dad owned shares of CMGO and requested a stock cert, that is perfectly OK, a lot of old timers did that. He then dies and leaves me the shares in his will. Those shares can be deposited in a brokerage co. where they become freely tradeable, with proper paperwork that the brokerage firm requests, happens all the time.
