One of the conceptual challenges for me is that there is no limit to the supply of Crypto currencies. Gold has a relatively finite supply, but programmers can continue to develop new crypto currencies with no limit.

As the supply grows I have a hard time believing that Cyptos will be exempt from the laws of supply and demand. Bitcoin has the advantages of finite supply and the name brand from being the industry innovator, so maybe it can differentiate itself. But my suspicion is that new money will start to flow into competitive products that haven't risen as much.
