If one were looking at just the financials for the last few years I believe most people would say the company was progressing nicely toward profitability. I cannot say with certainty that we'll be profitable this year, but believe it is very possible.
Why are we down? Simply because our CEO forecast substantially greater revenue than was delivered, and he never adjusted his estimate. I'm not suggesting that he had to put out a PR to shout to the world that my estimate was way off, but a revised estimate in the third quarterly last year would have cushioned the blow.
Where do we go this year. Ten million sounded reasonable, and I believe some of it would be profit, but given GaryG's track record, I'd have to guess that we'd come in as low as $6 million, but perhaps as high as $50 million.
How could we possibly earn $50? What if the trial in petroleum produced spectacular results that drew the attention of the entire petroleum industry. I don't believe that fracking is limited to the U.S., we could have orders for are largest generators all over the world, tens of millions of gallons in the U.S. alone. How about if the hospital trials in the U.K. go extremely well and they order 100 Annihilyzer units a year for the next several years. I'm not saying these things will happen, only that they could. Is anyone certain that they cannot.
Personally I believe that GaryG may have been conservative in specifying $10 million if the trials go well. I don't believe he'll raise his estimate until he's certain he can achieve it this time.
