08:56 ET Yangtze Telecom signs SMS pact with China Unicom : Co announces that its wholly owned Chinese subsidiary has signed a Cooperation Agreement with China Unicom. Under the agreement, Yangtze Telecom will offer its unique and innovative SMS (Short Messaging Service) services to China Unicom's 80 mln mobile customers across China. The signing of this agreement eliminates the necessity for agreements with each of China Unicom's provincial operators.
