I was a hitch-hiker back when things were different, much as you seem to be in this thread. One thing i must impart to you, as it is a justifiable event which can occur and does...anyone along just for the ride and not supportive in some fashion or another, is often let out in the middle of nowhere, they never reach their destination, and often wander aimlessly with empty pockets
