Wade: if you always look at forward PE's you should do the same for indexes .... obviously trailing PE's were severely impacted by the pandemic so citing those in several posts was deficient DD on your part and done without clarification. It's very easy to get index forward PE's. Just search the web or use the links I provided.

Hopefully the next time you reference an index PE as a valuation metric it will be the forward PE !

VIAC and DISCA are up big since my post a few days ago. Yes, in this market many stocks are trading at higher than historic PE's. That's easy to understand. Institutions bought nearly $3B worth of VIAC stock at $85 just last week !
