Why do any established junk internet sites go all in on conspiracy theories? Because it sells. These are the sites who know how to monetize the hits.

Pure profit motivation only. Many of the actual owners probably don't believe the junk themselves and stay insulated from the content by shaky freedom of press disclaimers.
