Hey at least the company is communicating. I’m the last person to defend Bolster, for real, but this lets me know these guys understand, FINALLY, the importance of communication, even if it means delayed gratification.
In the business I’m a part of customer expectations are set from the beginning. If those are not going to be met it is my job to reset the expectations. Thus far it is a sound method, as long as I meet those reset expectations.
I’m gonna say something that may be controversial but here it is.... Ameca is dealing with people from a part of the world that do not understand or think about business like western people do. Even their concept of time is different.
I work with people from South east Asia ever day. I am not exaggerating when I say that their idea of honor and respect in their cultural/religious hierarchy 100% takes precedence over productivity and results. In other words, sometimes you will find that incompetent idiots hold key positions for cultural reasons.
But the light at the end of the tunnel is.. this situation only lasts so long. There are always smart people in the group looking for work-arounds, and they find them. And then they get to work. And boy do they work hard and long. One of the benefits of having a different take on time.
